January 9 – Thailand: Pad Kra Pao

Ingredients

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 bird’s eye chilies + 2 milder chillies
  • basil (or holy basil if you’re lucky enough to find that in NL)

Sauce

  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce

To serve

  • Steamed jasmine rice
  • fried egg (crispy edges, runny yolk)
